Budget Suggestions: Amp speakers or Add small sub?

    Option A:
Looking for direction on a cheap 2 or 4 way amp to use. I don't want to spend a lot of money but a small amp that can give me 25-50w rms to each Premium speaker might really be a nice addition.
I don't really want to do too much to the car as I like the stock look but if the price it right I may go ahead and do it.
    Any suggestions?

    Option B:
Maybe, instead of amping the BMW Premium speakers, I keep my Blaupunkt for that and throw in a cheap 8" sub in the rear skipass area off a small single amp? Maybe it'd fill in the lows and make it sound that much better?

    Any small budget suggestions?

I picked up an Alpine 4-channel from a few years back on eBay for about $40. Nice sound, plenty of power.

I'll do some searches. $40 sounds nice to me, maybe something is out there.
If I did get a 4 channel amp I guess it'd be best to run two fronts, then a sub on the bridged rear. Then power the rears on the HU.

powe acoustik is ok for the money, just don't expect a great sound. Look at Fusion I have had very good luck with their stuff (I am a dealer and have sold a ton of it)

This is what I do only I don't have any rear speakers.

JL ZR components up front and a 12" Exile in back, will be even better once I get Luke's box.

I have an old Zapco AG 360, 4 x 90. Front two channels to the crossover for the components, back to channels bridged to run the sub. Sounds pretty good now that I got the crossovers on the amp set where I like them.

But this isn't some cheap ass amp either, when I bought it 8 years ago retail was around $700 I believe.

My point was cheap amps sound cheap.

But was backing you up on the 4 channel setup.

I may be getting some equipment soon.
I'm wondering if it's a waste of time to mount the sub in the ski hole without a center armrest. I have the pass through metal removed and could scoop out some foam from the seatback if it'd help.

Seems like the trunk is pretty soundproof...?

Yeah, the passthrough is better with some of the foam removed, but 100X better with an armrest seat.
