Guys, you need to ask the whole board, not just me.
Especially about head units. They ALL suck. I hate mine, but less than most.
Here is a deck I like, The Denon DCT-R1:
Or, if you need to make some extra room in your bank account, get a Z1:
(shown with optional Euro mount:
So if you can find either of these decks at all, much less in the US, they likely won't even play burned CDs, much less .WMA or MP3. The Z1 was like $4K USD retail, the R1 was the cheapie, around $2500 or so. AFAIK, neither were ever sold in the US at all.
I am HOPEFULLY gonna have the project I have been working on done today. A CD43 into 2 Exile "Shift" amps, exile XP5 components front and rear and a single 12" Shift sub in a sealed box in a '92 E34 touring that any damn one of us would kill to own. This is a first for me, using the CD43 on decent amps with decent speakers...we will see how that deck actually sounds. So far, it is impressive, but have only heard FM.
The car had to go get tuned after the supercharger was installed.
Here is a teaser shot of the install:

Hmmm, I still have the old Panasonic DF88 in my Monte Carlo that I originally used in my z31 in IASCA idbl stuff back in '98-99 in my car.
Won't get quite as loud and skips a bit more often but still works great 10 years later. May have to look at some of their stuff again.
I just dig the invisible face of the JVC, it can't clash with the 80s styling if it doesn't have any.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
