    ? for StereoInstaller1

i got a question for you......i have a 4 ch running one sub... should i amp my speakers? they are only 35rms and 100w handling they are Boston acoustics and they are the normal size for e30's , the amp is 74w x4 and 300w peak...what do you think i should do? just leave them? will i blow them easily if i keep it down lower?.... im not one to push speakers too hard..

also if i should not amp them....should i run bass blockers to them or something of that sort?

    much thanks man!

Cory, your amp will work great for running your front speakers.

First, you aren't gonna have that amp cranked on your front speakers, second it won't be running "full range", as you will need to set it to "HP" (about 120HZ, most are adjustable)
thus, your amp will not make nearly the distortion (which is what kills speakers), and will sound better by far, too.

So, yeah, use the other half of that amp to run those speakers. You will be glad you did.

Use front two channels to amp the front speakers, bridge the rear two (if amp is capable) and run the sub.

Capacitor has nothing to do with battery life, but yeah, I unnerstand now.
