Amber lights

I found the perfect head unit for my needs, but it illuminates blue and white, and is silver. I want a black head unit that illuminates amber, orange, or red to match the rest of my interior. It has to be able to play MP3s on CD-RWs and i'd like it to be under $200 if possible. Does anyone know of a head unit like this? I only know of one Clarion unit that you can customize the lights, but it's $300.

You cant have <$200 to spend on a head unit, and be picky about what you get. Good (IMO) simple black face, amber lit head units start around $600. The one I'm looking at is $1200.

You *might* be able to find a used Nakamichi CD-35 or CD-40 on eBay for around $200... I'd check there.

Or if you'd like I can give you the email of a guy with a Nak CD-7 with box and manuals for $150.

If he's wanting to listen to MP3s (which I skimmed over on his first post), then audiophile sound obviously isn't really a concern.

300 topps.... I'm going to probably only spend 250, it will still sound 100x better than stock

1200 is well worth it if you spend another 3-4k on the rest of the system. The DA converter in the Nak CD-700 II (the one I beleive he is referring to) is amazing!... at least from a technical standpoint.

The MP3s are just a couple of burnt CDs until I buy the actual CDs. I guess i'll stick with the one I was originally going to get. I'm not really planning on building a crazy system so I don't need some really expensive head unit, I just need to get this tape deck out of my car. Thanks for the help, though.
