Engine oil Will not turn off!

After shorting out fuse number 21 while reinstalling my stereo, the engine oil light decided to come on. I have checked every single fuse there is and cannot clear my active check control panel of the "engine oil" indicator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Lol yes ... like I said, this happened right after a short. I believe it is an electrical issue. But I haven't the slightest idea of where to start looking. Where is the oil level sender located?

It is on the block kind of close to the thermostat housing. The same thing happened to me when the wire that goes into the oil pressure sensor broke off from the plug and it sends the low pressure signal every time the end of the wire touches bare metal.

???? You mean close to the oil filter base plate?... that is the oil pressure sensor, I believe he is referring to the oil level indicator which is on the top of the oil pan towards the front of the engine.

Oil level sensor is on the driver side, next to the block on top of the oil pan. The pan kind of bumps out away from the block and the sensor is on top of it. The first picture in this thread shows it:

looks easy enough to work with. I wonder if there's something in that that can short out.
