So I have this Dinan chip for 173 ecu..my problem is which is the number on the ecu that I am suppose to look at to figure out wheather the ecu and the chip match. Is it the one on the BOSCH sticker number 0 261 200 525 or is it the number under the VIN on the VIN sticker number 1730527. Lastly can I replace it my self and what tools will I need?

never mind I got it....now I have a chip that wont work...GREAT! mine ends in 525....can I plug in a 173 ecu or are there serious draw backs.
