Going to do this today on the M3. There is no antenna in the trunk, but there is an (unused) CD changer mounted in the trunk, might that have a 12v source? Or just use the battery?alexw

A better solution in my opinion is to install the unit behind the driver side kick panel inside the car. All those wires you need are in a bundle right there, plus you get the advantage of not having the receiver surrounded by steel like in the trunk. I did mine like this 1 or 2 years ago and it has worked perfectly.
