What is the killer setup for a front e30 stage? In terms of beefing it up. I have a spare set of infinity reference 5.25" coaxes i could slide in there. Is it true the stock location only takes 5"? what about front depth for the coax tweet that sticks up a bit? Will it fit behind stock panel?Leave a comment:

I did this in my M5 with my 6.5 rainbow x-plains.Nate, the issue is that the door jam intrudes into the speaker area.
I can't get even big 5" in the stock E30 locations.
If you look at how I did the speakers, they protrude LESS than the E34 speaker, which is actually attached to the panel, not the car.
By building this mounting space, the midbass is HUGE in this car.
BTW, what 6.5" do you have? I have done some in E30s, but nothing huge.
except not nearly as well!
haha, but it still sounds damn good! (i bet the brax amp helps my instal bafoonery)Leave a comment:
