haha, nice revival! Now that I think about it you could just remove the tumbler in it's entirety from the column which would unlock the wheel and then cross the wires underneath.

that with a little pushbutton is how you move the motor so you can adjust valves...but this thread is about how to hotwire: see, there is no key...

Pull the kick panel, black box, unplug the obc connector. and I think there is a single green wire.

    not exactly rocket science :p
I thought (maybe assumed) that the OBC used the SI board batteries for a power/charge? Have you cleared the code by unplugging the main battery before?

Work at a shop where a stolen car gets brought in to fix it, then examine. Take notes children!

If your car is a super duper race car or you just don't care, you can pop it off.

to get the plastic column trim off is not as easy said as the screws are behind the steering wheel and using a pry bar to break it off is a real pain.

why would you just break everything when its your own vehicle, then you have to find replacement parts or drive around looking like you just stole a car, then when you get pulled over it will be freaking 60mins barbera walters type questions from six officers, lol not really but could very well end up that way,

if you really really want to know, take your car apart and see how it all works while off the right way and you could see what needs
to be done the hack or theft way... use a good wiring diagram and figure out the ignition wires, even though it just slips off the back off the ignition lock anyways,

Spray starting fluid inside the lock cylinder (the pressure will unlock the wheel), then short the red/green and touch the black wire to start it.
