Thoughts on Ebay 130amp Upgrade Alternator?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-B...mZ130263553268

They have good feedback. After consulting with my electronics-technician father, and doing a fair amount of research, I've concluded that I indeed need a new alternator. Being an old-time audio and big-forward-lighting guy, i always look for an opportunity to upgrade an alternator (my 02 had a 100amp GM one until i dropped it on the pulley and had to do a cheapie replacement w/65amp GM).

This $120 one (inc. shipping) is 130amp, which is a good 40% higher capacity than stock 90amp one. I can get a used stock one for about $50. Stock bosch rebuilds are $150 from autohausaz.com, plus $75 core, which has to be hassled with.

Based on their feedback, im leaning towards this ebay deal. any thoughts? :)

Have you seen the vent on E36 alternators? CAI, yo!

The biggest issue with higher output alternators is heat.

This alternator combined with the M5X alternator vent would be awesome.
