I just walked into the dealer with my radio part number and they gave me the code. You may also be able to do it by VIN if the radio is original to the car. It would be CRAZY to charge you for that.

Most dealers will do it for free, but some of them will only do it if you bring the whole car to them. That way they know you're not just trying to steal the radio. That is kind of the whole point of the code.

I called my local dealer with the Radio id number... gave me the code with no hassle.... I think that because its such an older radio they are not too worried about people stealing a 20 year old piece...

Las Vegas dealer will only do it in person, for a fee. So I just listen to the rusted out muffler & let the "code" display flash. Builds character.

Try a few different dealers. I had a friend who worked at a dealership, but he passed away recently, otherwise I would've asked him.

You will most likely need to show up in person, or call a dealership that has worked on your car in the past if you have any record of such.

You will most likely need to leave the key in the first "On" position for at least one hour, then enter the codes using the numbered buttons for the radio pre-sets.

It will be a 5 digit code, with the numbers being between 1 and 5

            Example: 54321

You get 3 tries. If you screw it up, you have to start the one hour process all over again.

Better yet, upgrade your HU from stock. I have a new HU that plays MP3's and has a USB port. I keep an 8GB USB thumb drive on my key ring and plug the cord from my HU into the thumb drive and have thousands of songs available and they sound much better then on the stock HU

Are you still needing the radio code? I can probably have it for you in an hour or less.

Don't enter the code wrong otherwise you need to leave your car on for 20 minutes.

Many thanks, per my PM. Mrs. Funcrew is digging my large geezer-grade cassette library of make-out music!

For anyone that needs radio codes, I now have access to get them again. PM me with the manufacturer and the serial number that is on radio.
