Incorporating a strut brace a box and an amp and all discreet

    Form and function
I would like to incorporate a few things into my trunk and I'm wondering if any one has done something similar.
I would like to have a rear strut brace 1 amp and one sub and wiring for those 2.

I would like it to be discreet and all hidden.
I would like keep everything tight and close to the rear seats and not take up to come up trunk space and to keep a stock look.
Also to keep the carpeting on the sides of the trunk to have the stock look.
and a piece of carpeting to cover everything.

I know I cannot get the best sound quality with the space restriction of the strut brace and not taking up too much space.

    What do you guys think?
Has anyone done something similar to this?
    Post up some pictures.

Yes I know this is an e36 but I like how he still has the carpeting

Are you aware that I am planning on building a series of single 10 boxes that will fit with that trunk brace?

          :D

no I wasnt aware of that.
I have read most of the threads that you have started but I haven't found any information regarding what I had in mind.

You are the person I had in mind when I'm ready to build me a custom enclosure.

My idea was to get all the components that in going to be fitting in my trunk
and building a mock-up/prototype idea of what I wanted. Then taking the dimensions putting them into Autocad and sending them to you and have you it build with your quality craftsmanship.

this was the only information I could gather up

However, I am having a local guy build some strut bars just exactly for this purpose, but with a single Exile XT10 instead of a 12.

Mounting depth is 3.25" on that woofer, and they are expensive, but for those who want such a thing, it can be done.

          In the meantime, these rock.

When you do get to a point when you can get your hands on an e30 my recomendation would be for an 89 ~ 91...

Most of the niggling little problems were solved by then.

There's more sense of accomplishment making an early model look good

                  ;)

But yes, late models are better if you can find a good one

The "service records" and no "air bag" you might have to skip on...

                        But otherwise they're out there.

                          SuperDuper

I have found one for 9 k awhile ago and one close to 25 k Ben Carufel's car, he was selling it at one point and it has almost all the tasteful mods that I would like. I believe you were the owner of that car at one point as well.

                          DCColegrove

In my opinion my car is out there I have not found her yet. When I do, I'll spend whatever it takes to get it. This is pretty much my dream car that I could actually see acquiring in the future.

                          I just have to wait

i dunno but i swapped out my airbag right away and never got a second look from anyone, not for inspection or anything. I doubt any of those old airbags work anyway.
