    Speedo-less sometimes...

Ok, I've been having problems with my speedometer not working. I know this is pretty common. I've replaced the speed sensor in the diff, and reflowed the circuits on the board. This has worked, but it will cut out after 2-3 weeks.

Over this past holiday break, I noticed something. When running the heater on full temp it starts to work after 20-25 minutes. Also, the SI board batteries seem to be good too since the oil service light turned on.

Cliffnotes: Heater off, speedo off, heater on, speedo on. All normal fixes(sensor, reflow, SI) have been done.

Basically, what can I do to permanently fix this?

    TIA

I've seen bad ground to the cluster cause wierd readings or lack of readings when electrical loads are higher.

try running an addtional ground wire for your cluster and see if that helps.

I really doubt it has anything to do with electrical loads. Its heat that effects it.

Pretty much, what would heat do to solidify the connections?

I'll check on that though, and we'll see.

Would those really be that affected by heat? I'm pretty sure those looked good when I looked at it last time I had it apart, so I'm kinda skeptical.
