    tweeter wiring

I have "premium" sound in my '88 vert, and the tweeters don't do anything, new tweeters don't do anything either, so I figure it's the wiring, so I'll tackle it tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips for me as to what route I should follow to get wiring to the head unit? any pictures would be great. thanks in advance.

The tweeters connect to the speakers in the front door panels. I'd expect that to be your problem location if your other speakers are working.

good call, I replaced the front speakers though, and there's no extra (+ or -) side like there was with the stock ones.

          ^^^Indeed.

The stock premium speakers have a built in crossover for the tweeter. That's why the tweeters are hooked up to them instead of the head unit. Crossovers will help immensely.

the speakers I got are two way so the crossover is internal in them, and I also got new tweeters with small boxes, which I believe to be crossovers.
