I will be taking some better daytime photos asap, but this is all I have for now.

FWIW I also installed new energy coax speakers in the front, huuge improvement with those and the new head unit...

your's looks to be a different model, AFAIK I can't change the colour of it, they do offer the x100(high model) and the x300(low model) in red though

in the first photo the song playing is Against the Grain by City and Colour the 2nd one is Shambhala 2008, it's the whole show on one song, it's an hour and a half long of dubstep and d&b, the first group is Excision.

and No there is no remote.
For those that don't know about this system, it gives you complete control of your ipod from the headunit, you never need to touch the ipod, I just ran the ipod cord through the little slot under the HVAC control unit.

Yeah, this is the "no deck" deck...and yet, the damn retards at Alpine made it the same size as a normal deck.

There are only 2 models shown in the catalog, the IDA-X100 and 200. Not much difference between them except the display and Bluetooth.

Alpine expected you to buy a "Vehicle Hub Pro" to use as a remote. Typical, $500 for something that should have been included!

Alpine product is great, but Alpine as a company sucks balls.

there's no real benefit, but it has a plug in on the back for an external cd changer, but the benefits of this system is full ipod control from the HU

How's the ipod interface? I remember reading a review saying its really clunky and controlling through the ipod would be much easier.

I have the 100 in my DD and your choices are red or blue. Great unit but it would look like shit in an E30 IMO.
