    Anyone install an ipod adapter?

Well i have a 89 325i with a pioneer head. And i was thinking how cool it would be to have my ipod hooked up to my stereo. I found a Pioneer CD-IB100II iPod Interface Adapter that said it could be compatibile to the pioneer radios sold these days. If i purchase this adapter wat else do i need to complete this project?

Probably just what they give you. iPod compatible decks just require a cord usually. You'll most likely have to just take the deck out, plug the cable in and then call it a day.

For true iPod control, you can use the CD-IB100 on any Pioneer deck with a "P" in the model number (P=CD changer control)...HOWEVER...generally, they suck. For about $125, you can get the DEH-P4000 or a bit more for the P5000. Either of these decks have USB, which controls your iPod beautifully and have a cubic fuckton of other useful features too.

Alpine's iPod control is fantastic, by the way.

I just put this into my brother's car. You have to control the iPod manually (it just sends the audio signal to the AUX input of the Pioneer head unit), but it sounds great and it charges your iPod as well. Additionally, it comes with an adapter so that you can hook up any device that uses a 3.5 mm stereo plug or red/white RCA jacks to your stereo, if you want.
