Not a bad looking install at all, man...that Sony makes a bit more powa than you are suggesting though, more like 400ish RMS on a 4 ohm mono load.

Looks pretty damn nice. Also looks like you need a decent table saw at your disposal!

    hang in there

LOL amen to the table saw Luke. It's definitely on my short list let me tell you. Most of the boxes I build look much better than this one, but I was in a hurry and it's for my car so I wasn't too concerned with appearance of the actual box.

The Sony I think will do just fine... I like to poo poo their stuff, but as long as you treat it well and don't over strain the equipment... the Sony will definitely do the job. I know the JL is very happy with it and I hit 126+ on a shitty Radioshack meter so I am happy as well. Not sure what that translates to in actual SPL but it is louder and cleaner than the Alpine Type R I had in the other e30.

As for CC... ya I wan't too concerned. I was already sharking installs on the side as soon as I heard they were in trouble and possibly closing so no big deal. Just have to go back to working for myself again :)

Thanks again guys for the comments and compliment. Working on my other e30 as I type (waiting for fiberglass to dry). This one will fire in through the ski pass and have viper like "ports" into the cabin through the rear seat. Always wanted to try this so figured why the hell not now. Will post another build thread soon.
