    Kenwood KDC-X817 CD Deck Install

Hey all, was just doing my Kenwood KDC-X817 CD Deck install and it is about "1 deeper then the Kenwood I took out, it is hitting something in there (probably an air duct or something)...anyway, it's an 89 325i 4 door, what is back there? Can it be moved? Is there install kit for the e30's? Am I stuck having to use my shorter Kenwood deck?

    Thanks

    I don't think so.

When I installed my deck, I had to tuck all the RCA connectors and antenna connector up, under, to the side, anything to be able to get the deck all the way in with all those wires coming out the back of the HU

Is it actually deeper? Like in a side by side comparison? Or are there just alot more connections on the back? My Kenwood X889 has a bunch of RCA's on the back and was a pain to get into the dash. So was my clarion USB/Bluetooth head unit. Try tucking those wires...

Upon closer inspection, I see that too...I need to go in and do some clean up as there are old wire bundles from previous owners amps and what not...it is deep enough, just to much junk in the way.

        Thanks
