    Loose RCA connections...

I'm losing signal to my speakers when I hit bumps due to loose RCAs. They are pushed all the way in - but aren't making good contact it seems. Anyone know of a good solution? It the problem likely the wires or my headunit?

Your speakers are wired with RCAs? Is this setup amped?

What do you mean the RCA's are "loose"? Like, the ones in the amp wiggle around or the cables don't fit tightly into the ones in the amp? If the cables are just loose, take a pair of pliers and pinch the out conductor down a little to tighten them up. Not too much or you will crush them.

I did this. They are on the back of my headunit. for some reason they just aren't making good contact though they are pushed all the way in. I'm thinking I may have a broken solder joint of two inside of the headunit. I'm going to take it apart and have a look at it tonight and see if i can repair anything.

One of the pre-outs on my 1 year old headunits is dead.
