    Steering wheel controls?

Say I get a HU with steering wheel control capabilities....

Say I also retrofit a newer 5 series wheel with controls....

    Could I make it happen?

If you can find a way to make the splines work and find a way to line up the turn signal repeat cancel pin, you should be good to go. Jordan did this over on emotech awhile ago; you might want to search over there. He did it with an e46 wheel though iirc.

He's done it with 2 wheels - and I'd probably try to get him to help me with mine.

Beyond the wheel fitment, it should be easy to get the controls working...there are a couple of pieces made by PAC, depends on the brand deck you have/get...most likely it will be either a swi-jack or a swi-ps. Can be a little tricky to program, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Worst case scenario a swi-x would work too, no matter the deck (as long the deck will work with a wireless remote and your car isn't a vert).

You can look through them uuuuuuh here if you want.

Turf my head unit has these capabilities and I have begun making my non-used cc stalk in to a radio controller. Forward and back are to change track/station and up/down are for volume. So far I've gotten half of it to work, but i have abandoned the project until I get my body work and paint finished.

It will work for sure if the head unit is compatible with the car your wheel is from.

That's pretty badass twoj's. Too bad I use my cruise control.
