I need help locating a part of a wiring diagram

To all of you wiring gurus, I would greatly appreciate if you could help me out here. Since late summer, out of the blue my left front side marker light, left front parking light, and left tail light have not worked. The side marker light is no longer an issue, as I have euro trim on now, but my front parking light and tail light no longer work. Because of this I have been pulled over and given written warnings for my tail light being out. It is not a bulb issue and I don't know where to locate what I need to track down. I ordered a Bentley manual and found the wiring diagram for what I need to fix, but I don't know where to locate the wires themselves in our cars.

As an electrical noob, I'd greatly appreciate your advice so that I don't have to shell out a few hundred dollars for somebody else to do it. :???:

Page 38 from Section 15 on the Bentley manual. The highlighted are what do not work and I'd like help locating.

    Thanks in advanced.

    - Andrew.

First, have you checked the fuse? #22 according to your diagram.

If the fuse is fine, judging by the diagram, the light switch itself may be the issue as it appears to have different outlets for both sides of the car.

Clusterfuck of a diagram right there.

      Go to wwww.wedophones.com,
click "manuals" then "automotive" then BMW. Download your electrical manual, and start looking.

Aside from that, pull your light switch, and look at the connector. If it is all melted, nasty looking and shit, replace it.

Luke where were you when I posted this? When I made the thread I thought "God I hope Stereoinstaller responds to this." After two days of nothing, I fiddled with it today and swiped one from a parts yard. That did the trick! The two of you were correct in that it was the light switch! Thank you very much for you help you two regardless!

To any one who may stumble across this thread in the future:
        1) Check your bulbs (duh)
        2) Replace your fuses. In the case of my issue they are Fuse 21 and 22.
        3) Replace light switch. Be warned, late models and early models have two different part numbers.
        4) When fixed, enjoy not being pulled over for faulty equipment! :D
