Scytek alarms are VERY stable , when installed properly. I know because I have installed about a hundred of them.

What year/model E30 do you have?

Use relays for the door locks (neg pulse)

I can pm you color codes for your car if you like.

Stereoinstaller1 may chime in also. (he's the shiznit when it comes to this shit)

My recommendation is the Astra 5000.

Paging alarms suck balls. They respond too slow, as there has to be time between commands and responses...in other words, if you remote start your car into a wall, you cannot shut it down quickly enough to prevent damage.

Besides, what are you gonna do if your alarm goes off, run out there and get your ass beat by a bunch of thugs? They are on WAY better drugs than you are, y'know.

I am Oregons ONLY Scytek dealer. Their shit is good and cheap.

I am gonna be buying some alarms soon, prewiring them with relays and such, then selling them on R3V for a few bucks more than just the product alone on eBay. I have had nothing in stock for a couple of months now, kind of a pain in the butt.

I dont think that one has remote start... If it does I wont use it.

I want the paging alarm so I can run out there wil my AR-15 or my 1911. Some ones tried to break into it already once Id love to see the look on there face when I come out side with my AR or Ill put a shot shell in my 1911 and pop them in the ass with that and let them know the next ones gonna fucken hurt a lot more.

If you do start selling them on here I would be interested in buying one if it can save me time.

...was that the Astra 50? Per their website, there is no 5000. It also says it has 'integrated relais'. Are they sufficient or do you need Actual Big Fat Relais to make things work reliably?

For the record, I will never buy an alarm from anyone other than Luke. I bought the Scytek P10 from him in Novemberish and he sent it prewired, beautifully I might add, and with instructions. He even sent me two LEDs, one blue and one red.

Hm, I also found a Galaxy 5000 from Scytek... the problem is that the remotes are worse than awful. I wonder if there's a way to use the early E39 / E36 keys as remotes? Opinions?

When you do this, let me know! I want to rip out my shitty install of a job that the PO did of the viper alarm. It works, but the mess under my dash has needed cleaning since I've had the car. I don't want to clean it up with this crappy alarm I have. I'd like to do it with something that is quality.

I'll also gladly take a kit. I'll play with refinishing the remotes and see if I can come up with something a little less... blingy.

If you're interested, I have a new Scytek Galaxy 5000RS that I am not going to be using. Pretty much new in the box, looking to get $60 for it.
