Kill Switch.

Got bored today and I had a bosch relay laying around so one thing led to another, and now I have a cigarette kill switch. Any comments on such devices? I personally like it. A fuel pump switch would of been easier and better, but ehh. No comment.

How does it work exactly? I'm installing one or two very soon, new ideas are nice.

Well you basically have to push the cigarette lighter in to start the car. If you don't push it in before you turn the key the car wont crank.

What do you guys want to know? How its wired?

I have a relay. Connected to the relay are the constant 12v from the ignition, the 12v going to the cigarette lighter, and 2 for the starter.

I cut the ignition and starter wires first of all. Spliced a wire onto the ignition wire. Then spliced individual wires to each side of the cut starter wire. I then went to the tray and removed the 12v wire going to the cigarette lighter. I spliced on a wire to where the 12v wire used to be. Connect all 4 wires to the relay and voila you can haz kill switch too.

I believe there is a diagram somewhere on here. Its a simple yet effective set up. 15mins or less if you know what your doing.
