I loved my IDQ V2's, they sound f-ing good! Had a pair with some IDQ Chameleon components upfront (2 ohms), no rear speakers. 150x4 wrms was plenty loud but still VERY clean...but the car had also about 200sq.ft of sound deadening lol

I ended up going with an IDQ12 v.3 D4 paired with an Alpine MRP-M500 amp. I think it should go well together, the box included. I can't wait to get everything together and installed. I don't believe I have seen anyone with installed pics just yet of their Luke boxes, but I promise you I'll get mine up as soon as possible.
The idq's aren't real deep you should be fine. Mine IDMAX was like 7.6, the idq is like 5.5

I spent a good bit of yesterday working out the kinks and getting this right. I had totally neglected to think about the fact that I still had the trunk tar in there, but removal was a cinch for the most part.
Note to self, when using hole saw on sheet metal, wear long sleeve shirts. Tiny little specks and shards of metal being flung and sticking to your skin isn't pleasant. Although, I did manage to fuck up the holes, I will be giving it another go tomorrow and hopefully getting it all sorted out before the days end.
Right now, the box is loaded with the IDQ sub, and it is mounted/secured to the back seat panel. I need to make some minor adjustments to the port holes and then and only then can I say I'm finished. I just wanna hear the damn thing already!
BTW, big ups to Luke for his long distance and quite superb technical support. Quite the talker this one is :)Claus Luthe is my hero.

my gf came back in town from her trip so I've somwhow managed to lose the amount of free time I had before.
I had a slight miscalculation with the port holes, so some minor adjustment needs to be made which I have yet to do. I think I can try to wrap things up tonight. I do have a good number of pics to come though. ;)Claus Luthe is my hero.

I'm glad you did not get the type R. I had some and was not impressed. The W6 is definitely a better sub. I'm out of the loop and don't know much about all the new brands. That and i would never pay more then $100 for a woofer again. I've had too many systems stolen to invest big bucks again. I just rock whatever i have laying around the garage now.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
