New Battery, no start?

ok, back from the dead.

Battery was tested, group 48. It tested perfect.

Tightened as many connections as i could find, and no luck.

What now?

Ok, so I replaced the ground strap, and it seems to have helped, but not alleviate the problem. I'm gonna have it tested next chance i get, so we'll see...

Check all of the connections...

When you get a voltage drop it will cause all manner of hell down the path, the connections will get electrolysis corrosion and will actually loosen up from thermal stress caused by resistance in the circuit.

I would replace the battery terminals too. I wasted a good battery cuz of this. Just a reminder....

I'm getting 9.5V with the engine off, around 13.3V with the engine on. The ground strap is starting to fray a little bit, so I'll see if I can find another.

Check the ground for rust or fraying.

You are only getting 9.5V from your battery? Should be AT LEAST 12V.

Ok, I recently got a new battery because my old one wasn't holding a charge... With the new battery, my car still doesn't want to start. I'm getting 9.5-9.8V with ignition on, engine off, and the starter just won't turn. If I jump it, it will start, but it seems slow. I'm just looking for what the culprit might be, and what I need to fix/replace.
