Anyone put one of these in their e30? I’m not a big fan of the flip outs but have ventured down the options. I’ve looked at the head unit thread and there are lots of units that look period correct but was wondering about these.

You might have to trim the stalks. Flip out units get really close or faul on the wiper/cruse control.Originally posted by Matt-B -
Thanks! I went and looked at it yesterday. Although its a pretty cool unit, it sticks pretty far out and, with the potential of having to trim the stalk, I think I convinced myself to do something different. I'd like carplay which is why I was looking to try the 3500nex but thinking I'll go with something different. I want something that is powerful enough to be good with doing some basic upgrades to the entire system, plays CD's, and allows me to play music off the Iphone.Comment
