What Sub Amp setup are you running?

I am interested in what setups people are running, I think there was a post on this not too long ago, sorry if they're was.

I was running a 12" L5 on a Visonik Amp which I sold and am now looking for something new.

Currently "800W" pioneer amp a la wal-mart, running a 12" kicker compvr (all free, better than nothing)

Had a RF 300a2 (that little thing kicks ass)

Previous sub setups: 2 no-name 12's (truck box ~2 cubes sealed), 2 pioneer 10's(individual boxes, 1.5 cubes each, sealed), 1 jbl 15 (~6cubes, ported), 1 dayton 15(same ported box), 1 kove 15 (same ported box).

Previous amps: jensen 600w, mtx 400w, optimus 200w, and the rockford 300a2

Heh, all those different setups, and I never spent 1 dollar :P

15" SX in 4 cubes ported (or a snail shell, still undecided) with a brutus 1500 is my next setup (maybe 1-2 months from now).

Yeah, I just got my b1500 today, Ikesound was the cheapest place I could find it. I was gonna go with cbrstereo.com but I found out that they're over $80 more. The sx is more of a spl sub right? Whyd you decide not to go with a XXX? Is it just because of money or what?

I feel that for my use, a XXX is not worth the extra money. My cousin will be running a 15" XXX on a brutus 1500, and I will be ordering it when I order my stuff. I'll do a semi-comparison between the 2, but mine is going into the trunk of my e30, vs his going into his CRX... I have a feeling his will be alot louder :P

Any idea if thezeb will price match ikesound?

hah, yeah it probably will be louder.
I dont know, I didnt contact them; I really don't see the point in them matching it, unless they offer a better warantee or something. It was like 267.XX shipped, not bad for a supposed 1500 watts.

I had 2 10" MTX Thunder 4000s powered by a classic white and yellow pionner amp.

Now I have one JL 12W3V2 powered by the same amp. (300RMS 600 peak). Its a pioneer before the recalls.

I had a 12" Cerwin Vega HED-series, powered by a 200 RMS Alpine monoblock.

I now have a 12" Phoenix Gold Octane-R, powered by a 420 RMS (to the sub) Kicker 3-channel.

None. Didn't want the extra weight. But I have a crappy Pioneer GM-1200 70x70w pos that weighs 4 lbs max.
