ok so i know how you e30 guys like to maintain the integrity of the "factory" look. but give me your opinion. this was made for dirt cheap and i like the way it looks. doesn't take up much of the window either unless you are trying to read the plate number of the mfr tailgating you. FYI these are just 6"x9" to give you an idea of size

yeah thanks i know but i live on a military base and don't park it on the economy at all at night so don't really have to worry about that. the rear window is tinted pretty dark from the bottom to the top of the speakers so you can only see it if you are right next to the car.

That's an interesting way of doing it...
As long as you're playing sub 100Hz out of all those, then I don't see a HUGE problem with it (other than massive cancellation). Anymore surely throws the sound way out of wack.

Looks terrible and probably sounds worse than a pair of stock premiums. As "netcsk" stated above, it MIGHT sound half decent if you have a low-pass crossover set around 80-100Hz, but then again 6x9s probably aren't going to put out much at that level anyhow.

What concert have you ever been to where the huge wall of speakers is behind you?
