Also vert seats are not the same sport seats as the ones you would find in an iS car, they are the seats shared with the m3, different horizontal stitching.
That was my guess also since I didn't see the 3rd brake light on the trunk like most convertibles have.

^ The differences being the stitching, release handles, and you can't recline the cabrio seats as far because the vert side panels end up being in the way. But I've seen 318iC cloth seats with the vertical switching pattern.

But most cabrio leather is sun baked and cracked by now so the seats are probably not original if they look nice

I mean, yeah, but they're still the same seats.

OP, all for a discount because the car isn't a real iS and you don't trust him now

All cabs actually had sport seats and prem sound as standard. Also, internally, the car is known as a 325iC (for cabrio), which isn't at all related to the e46 325ci (which is just the newer way of saying 325is). So to answer your question, all e30 cabrios (with the m20 in the US), including that car, are known as the 325i.

Lol. Yeah, kind of. Full mtech2 cars came with upgraded sway bars, lower springs, different bump stops and LSD standard. Also, the body kit.

I was pretty positive this thread was the result of a craigslist ad.
