I dont think it is the best Idea to just leave the bulb hanging somewhere in the trnk. Will it catch fire, prob not that likley. But if the circut can be bypassed IMO thats a better option

I didn't mess with it yet. I swapped trunks because mine was leaking really bad from the light and its just in my trunk right now. My car is in storage for the winter so I won't do anything with it until April-ish. I'll let you know what I find out when I do it.

How about a z4 side roundel as 3d brake light ?
Had zinno in CA with no issues and delphi in HI for 5 years with cabon lid and no 3rd.
