whats interchangeable on the coupe and convertible?

so long story short my 1986 325 oil pan crack and I didn't want to do an engine swap. instead I bought a 1991 325i vert for ONLY $450








super clean motor and super clean exterior... the interior was super bad, my parents, co workers, and my GF asked me if anyone had tried stealing it. LOL. the rear wheel bearings are humming really bad, its unbearably loud. and lastly its auto. :hitler:
I know for a fact that the interior is all interchangeable expect for the rear seats, but are the brakes, rotors, tranny, rear wheel bearings all interchangeable?
im going to part out my 86 eta but I want to take everything I need first before I start selling stuff.

what Im taking for the eta and hoping interchanges are:
control arms,links and tie rods
front struts
rear assembly (rotor with trailing arms)
lollipops (i installed the e30 m3 lollis)
260 getrag? (do I need a bigger tranny?)
brake pads
etc.

The interior doesn't swap. Everything else you listed looks okay. You need to keep your driveshaft and tranny mount and a few other things which are specific to the eta transmission

Door cards and rear panels, rear seat, seat belts, carpet, windscreen headliner, are vert-specific. Pretty sure the front seats, and most of the rest of the interior, are interchangeable.

Front seats are different though will bolt up. Convertible seats don't recline as far, handles and stitching are different. Most convertibles have trashed interiors. Convertibles take a lot of patience and money to get running right. I would swap the i motor into your eta car.

Yup, swap will be easier unless you really want a Vert.

The M20 is simple. Coolant, oil cooler, a few electrical plugs, ground, and the driveshaft is just about everything. Oh and the cluster, but that's easy.

i woke up this morning and came to my senses, ill just swap the oil pans and the I head, its going to be way easier swapping the trailing arms, struts, brakes, etc etc lol thanks guys
