    E30 convertible suspension

    Quick question guys.

I bought bilstein sport shocks with tokico springs for my e30 vert. I thought verts had the same suspension as the coupe but now I am reading online that the vert has different springs.

I bought the suspension because it's pretty new less than 2k miles on them

Now I'm a little worried the suspension won't fit right and my new wheels won't fit they are esm 17x8.5 offset 20 tires are 215/40/17

Can anyone chime in some information

the rear springs have a higher spring rate to compensate for the heavier rear end

it's a Kenny Powers quote on wheels

So what will happen if I run the springs from a coupe on a convertible?

The back may sag a bit more compared to cabrio specific springs. I would put them on anyway to see where it sits. I ve seen so many setups that it is almost car specific. I can tell you what I have and most likely wont sit exactly like mine. Its a good thing that springs can be swapped out in a matter of a few minutes.

I believe that both front and rear springs are of a higher rate in verts. I used vert front springs to lift a non-vertible. If you put hard top lowering springs on a vert, it'll just sit a bit lower.
