Soft-top fitment question

If you are sitting in the rear seat with the top up, are you supposed to be able to see a crack between the top and the body of the car (just behind the rear window)?

New to owning an E30, and it doesn't seem like it's right?

Yes. There are "brushes" to help fill in the area. It's this way because the top folds at that point.
