Installed new top and tinted back window!

    Hello people!

Today I installed my new (old) top/frame I received yesterday from a vert that only had 70k miles. The seals still had all the velvet on them, yum.

Taking the whole frame out and putting a new one in wasn’t that bad. Took me 3 hours.

    It’s just 2 bolts and 4 nuts.

After I installed the top I pondered about tinting the back window on the front of it to protect the precious clearness.

So I went to Walmart like every good American and got the static cling on tint!

And it worked! It’s not perfect but it’s passable! The top opens and closes without the tint coming off and I even sprayed it with a coin car wash pressure washer...stayed right on!

That’s awesome. I may do that, too. The rear window was one of the things stopping me from tinting my windows.

        Nice job installing that top!
Is that tint going to survive being folded up?
I'm guessing that will not survive more than a couple of opens and closes.
