This is a video on how to install an aftermarket steering wheel on your e30l. We tried to be as clear and straightforward as possible, but obviously are not trained professionals. Use your best judgement when working on your car.
For this job, we also got a Momo hub since it had the matching bolt pattern for the steering wheel we used. This may not work if you are using a different steering wheel with a different bolt pattern.
Tools needed
- 1/2 Ratchet
- 22mm Socket
- Torque wrench
- Interior Trim tool (prying tool)
Depending on how you chose to attach your horn ground wire, you may use a drill and drillbit to drill into your hub, or you can crimp the wire terminal onto the hub. Some steering wheels come with a ziptie to attach the ground wire.
