    Ms Req_fuel problem.

So im new to ms and my pnp ms unit came with a base tune, but its way to lean. i set up and calibrated my lc-1 wideband, calibrated all sensor in ms and started the car. The wideband was reading really lean 20-22.4 maxout pretty much. so i tried messing with req_fuel goin up from 6.9 (whats the estimator gave me) all the way to 10.2 or so with very little change in afr. Maybe getting it down to about 16 or 16.5 on the low piont of it jumping arund.
I have 42 lbs green tops and i dont wanna flood my engine.

should i keep going or is something wrong?
do i have a vacum leak somewhere making me really lean?
    any help is welcomed.
    thanks

Just out trying to build some boost !!

This is first startup with cold engine?

Does the AFR table look like its supposed to?
Leave req-fuel where its supposed to be and adjust in Fuel VE Table.

    Edit: mine basetune

Set it for around 6.5 and change up the VE table as needed. Watch that you are not running excessively fat and missing as it can throw the AFRs off showing lean.

If you are running speed density, small vacuum leaks aren't as much to worry about.

You are showing him an AFR table and not a VE table ;)

But that is a WAY too fat AFR table for a warmed up street car?? do you have a huge cam or something??

Yeah, because if his AFR table was way off so would, well, the AFR readings be. What good would my VE table do him? ;)

If a turbo counts as something, yes.

Not to go all off topic for the OP but if you are boosted then why don't you have the table setup for boosted loads and why do you think you need to be anywhere close to 11:1 under non boost??

What would be some good base numbers to start with.what should the max gap between numbers be.

Here is a good start to find/read about some tunes that may help get you going.

Start from idle and work your way up thru the loads and stay out of the WOT/boosted loads until the lower loads are tuned.

I dont. As i said that was the basetune, my MS came preinstalled with it.

                  OP;
Ive got a M20B25 with 1 bar of boost.

messed around with the ve table increasing the values, afr is getting better. but rpm is still rising. how do i lower the idle rpm? what should be my target idle rpm ?

First you would have to have the AFR-table sorted out. Got it fixed?
Then theres feks warmup enritchment to take notice of.
My idle is at 1100 rpm below 40C and 700rpm over.
                      Still got the ICV?

Yes still have the icv. Afr table has a base tune on it. What should I tune first, afr table or ve table ?
Feks Warmup enrichment ? I have a pwm idle enrichment tab but no feks

feks = for example, in norwegien -> for eksempel.. sry :)

You have to have a AFR table that makes sence befor tuning ve-table.
Ive got my afr at 13,5 at idle, if your was set to around 20 in that basetune thats wrong and have to be changed.

Read, and understand most of it, and you will be a bit wiser
