Please help with Wasted Spark DIYPNP

Im trying to wire a wasted spark setup using logic coils. Can someone please just link me the right write up or just post a picture of there board??? I cant beleive how much trouble im having, lol.

Heres mine now running in stock form. What do i need to do to run 6 LS2 coils?

Bump. In my case, I understand everything that needs to be done inside the MS case (more or less) but curious how to wire in the coils.

Any information or pictures of your setup would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

The coils are not "driven" from megasquirt allowing you to only pass a logic signal (5v) to the coil in order to cause them to spark. Basically it seems like the coil will have a PNP or NPN circuit within it.

You can see an example on this diagram. You may need to do some current limiting with a resistor to ensure you don't kill your board.

Wasted spark should only require you to use 3 spark outputs with each output controlling two coils. It may require diodes depending on the circuit you create.

Sorry, most of that didn't make any sense to me. But yes, I'll have three ignition drivers controlling six coils all together and I 'll be using a 1k ohm resistor to limit the current. That's what DIYautotune called for anyway.

What I'm trying to do might be a little unconventional but a lot of people over at mye28 seem to be doing it this way. Here is the topic and DIY.

In my case I just don't understand how to wire the GM DIS module into the MS. I'm wondering if I can just wire the drivers directly into the module. The OP wasn't too clear, but he also isn't using the DIYPNP unit.

        Thanks Jaxx for the reply.

Edit: Okay, I think I understand it now. I'll use the DB15 connector in order to wire in the coils.

I'm using ign-1a race coils from diy, they're the same wiring except an extra direct ground to battery.

          Basically it's already wired in.
Use the l.e.ds as signal and just pair the two coils to whatever ones spark.
Like top (first) led pair up to #1 & #6 coil. You just change the settings in TS and it's done.

The wiring is crazy but I think worth it.

^grounded to MS and the blue wire is grounded to the head you can't see the connectors. It's allot of wiring.
