    MS No Start

    Hey Guys,

I am having some MS issues and was hoping to get some assistance from the forum if possible. First, some basics about the car.

    1986 325E
    2.7I
    Holset HC1
    42lb injectors
    WhoDWho MS

Now the problem. Initially when I did my first start everything went well. After a few cranks and some minor adjustments it idled and ran down the street. I was having trouble with the provided MAP so I decided to load a base map from DIYAutotune. After doing so the car will not start. I reloaded what I believe is the MSQ from the first start and I am still getting nothing. The car is getting fuel but not spark. I have power in and out of the coil as well. I am wondering if I possibly blew something in the MS during my changes.

I attached both an MSQ and a few logs from the no-starts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    MSQ: http://www.mediafire.com/view/gh8b2q...1_17.16.36.msq

    Log1: http://www.mediafire.com/view/9icq84...6_22.11.31.msl

    Log2: http://www.mediafire.com/view/ef2tjb...6_22.13.36.msl

    Thanks
    -John

The biggest thing to check for is that you have the project set for Microsquirt module, if set for regular MS2 it will scramble up the ignition setting and not start.

Email me if you haven't and we will get it going again! 8^)

Hello! I downloaded ms2Extra 3.3 release and loaded the Megasquirt module firmware. I then loaded the attached MSQ and received a ton of error messages. Is there something that needs to be done with an INI file? DO I just select detect and allow it to pull that information from the ECU?

Thanks in advance for the help!

This tune is set for spark on D14 which is not right for Microsquirt Module.

        You can check this:

Go to Basic setup > tach input/ign settings and the bottom option has to be IGN1(that option is not a choice if the project is not set correctly)

You will also find the tach setting is an issue - go to extended > tacho output and it needs to be set for TACHOUT (it also will not be an option if the project is not set right)

So you need to set the project properties and load the msq I sent you

So go into TS and go to file > project > project properties > settings - the 3rd option down is probably set for "Megasquirt MS2 v3 v3.57 (Default)" it needs to be set to the bottom option of "Microsquirt Module MSPNP.DIYPNP"

Load the msq I sent you and recheck the settings above

        Or start over from scratch:
Make sure you using 3.2.5 firmware
Make sure you set for Microsquirt module when flashing
setup a new project and set for Microsquirt Module on the settings options
Load the msq I had sent you and you should be good

        Let me know
