Thoughts on W.A.R chip for m50tu turbo

I've got a W.A.R chip in my car now running N/A and putting out about 205 at the wheels. I want to go Megasquirt for my turbo project, but the simplicity of using the W.A.R chip is tempting, anybody have good threads of people using it? Plenty of people trash it, however i don't find it that bad and being able to switch between 4 maps is pretty sweet.

My e30 m50tu has a WAR chip with a blow thru maf. But I haven't messed with tuning.
