Anyone ever use a MAFT Pro?

Hey guys, has anyone here ever used a MAF Translator Pro? On anything, BMW or otherwise. I have a few questions regarding install and wiring.

I just wired one into my WAR chiped 404 DME to get my M60 on Speed Density.

    The wiring:

Everything is pretty straight forward and all wires are readily available in the dme compartment. Except for RPM signal. I believe the MAFT Pro is looking for a 5v RPM signal.

I've currently got the MAFT hooked up to the OE M60 crank sensor, but it's not delivering what the MAFT is looking for. I was hoping I could tag off one of the ignition coil triggers from the DME but I believe I'd need to convert the pulsed coil -12v/ground over to a square wave 0v-5v and I did find an inexpensive converter called the AutoSportLabs CoilX rpm input adapter, but it's on back order. Does anyone know of another tach adapter that will do what I need? Am I on the correct path? Thank you.

BTW: The RPM signal going to the ABS computer is a 12v low rpm to 0v high rpm variable voltage. I'm afraid I can't use it.

I'm going to try a couple of options. I ordered online the CoilX RPM Input Adapter as well as a Split Second TA2-100 tach adapter that says the end user can use an injector signal for a 5v square wave.

    Ta2-100: https://splitsec.com/wp-content/uplo...TA2-100_ds.pdf

    CoilX: http://www.autosportlabs.com/product...input-adapter/

I'm using one to run my Buick Grand National in speed density. You're correct in that it's looking for a 5 VDC square wave. The MAFTPro was originally built for turbo Buicks, and the turbo V6 generates a 5 VDC square wave output from the coil pack.

The adapter you mention sounds promising. You might have luck searching the boards at fullthrottletech.com. They're run by Bob Bailey, the electrical engineer that designed the MAFTPro.

Thank you for the input, glad I'm the right path. Hopefully I'll have this thing running smoothly with the next parts delivery. FullThrottleTech won't let me register for the forums. I thought they were debunked.

Would anyone know, or have the resources available to tell me what the MAF (Bosch 13621702078 ) Voltage output vs airflow grams. Thanks in advanced.
