    Megasquirt first start surging idle

I just got finished installing my MS2 DIYPNP for my M20. I have all the sensors calibrated (IAT, CLT, and TPS--E36). It starts up and immediately surges up to 2k RPMS and hangs there. If the vacuum line for the Map sensor is unplugged it immediately drops back down to 1k RPMS. However, when it is idling at 1k it feels like it is misfiring and sounds like the car has large cams in it...which it does not.

I am using the baseman provided on DIYautotune's website.

I have triple checked for vacuum leaks. It was running perfect on the stock motronic DME.

    Any ideas?

sounds like too much idle control valve duty cycle. what is the linear graph displaying for your idle control valve on cold starts? I run about 50% duty cycle on cold starts and my idle is about 1500rpms when cold starting, and settles to 35% duty cycle when hot idling.

Oh wow...it wasn't even set up yet. I think some of the map settings didn't transfer over with the newest MS2/extra software. I just adjusted it and it idles way lower now. Thank you for helping a MS noob!!!!!!
