    Simple Digital Systems (SDS)

I'm running SDS (Simple Digital System) on my year around AutoX/RallyX '85 318i.
Cheap, reliable and stand alone LCD box makes it easy to tweak map since I'm running a wideband O2. Can run boosted system and is easily updated with new firmware. Tons of notes, updates and FAQ's on the site and you order it for the car/engine you specify and they'll pre-fab all wiring for the vehicle...

    Common BMW Applications:
    1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5L E30, E36 3 series 4 cylinder - 4E, 4F
    2.5, 2.8, 3.0L E30, E36 3 and 5 series 6 cylinder - 6E, 6F

I'm using the 4F as I went distributorless with direct fire ignition.
The dual coilpack has run flawlessly for 2.5 years, actually everything has!
Plus I have BOOST in my future according to my palm reader

    Check it out...

Simple Digital System EM-6 is the most affordable, easiest to install fuel injection system on the market today. SDS does not require a laptop to program!

no base map steal one from someone. Wolf is expensive but is very universal has a internal 2 bar map sensor. If you are gonna run more boost than that upgrade to the 3 bar

i think that you use a MAP sensor then, so no need for a AFM or a MAF, just a filter , no obstructions to the air flow. did they say if it comes with a base map for the m-20 etc???

yeah i am not a huge fan of rewiring either. having it plug and play would be nice.

The V500 will work with AMF?

I wired up a TEC3 To a buddies car and once you got over the hurdle of getting the damn thing to run with a base map it wasn't all that hard. BUT!!! TEC doesn't offer base maps, you figure it out on your own and hope not to blow the motor.

BTW off of Wolf's site "The Wolf V400 BMW Plugin ECU's are no longer manufactured. We have stepped up to the new Wolf V500 platform and are currently finishing designs on most of our Plugin ECU range in V500 format. ". I'm guessing that you'll have to find a used v400 untill the new ones come out.

To use the Apexi products you need a MAF... the stock one wont work properly, I dont know the reasons why tho.

i am looking into changing out my split second piggy back and MAF conversoin to go to a LINK systems stand alone. seems to be a pretty competitent system. it will also run all the aux functions too, just like the stock computer will. there are also two distrubitors here in town for me.
