z3 m-roadster exhaust on an e30?

I've heard this works and I'm really interested in using an m-roadster muffler on an m30 e30, does anyone have more info on this? How much work/fabrication is required? I know its a single pipe, is it 2.5 inch?

dunno about an M roady but i hear an E36 system will fit with a little fiddling about.
