        Clips??

There are a couple of different kinds on ebay, some go for $119 and others for $299. I wonder if there are significant differences between them. Pics installed and clips would definitely be great.

I have an ebay SS catback.

I got sent one for a different car, but it was still dual exhaust, and similar, so we cut it up, welded in the pipe needed to make it "fit" (as well as moving the OE mounts onto it), and welded on some chevy flanges to both sides (gotta love NAPA).

I didn't want to deal with sending it back for the right one, as that's a PITA, and I needed an exhaust that would pass tech at NHMS stat.

Sounds quiet, compared to the rusted out OEM system. Doesn't drone, but then again, what does at 3500rpm?

I just bought the same one talked about earlier in this thread. It was $199 + $40 flat rate shipping. I also bought new rubber hangers, gasket rings, and hardware from Pelican for $30 shipped. I'll let you guys know the result. I drove all over N. Georgia this past weekend and decided the drone of my rusted out OEM stuff was too much. IE advertises no drone, and this looks like an IE clone (or IE clones this and jacks up the price).

I'm looking for a nice solid quiet replacement that wont rust out, and I hear all of the cheap OEM replacements (Ansa/Bosal/Etc..) rust out after a while. I'll post my results on thursday or friday when it comes in. I can't wait to have conversations without yelling.

There are a couple of companies on ebay, which is the one who makes the first exhaust posted on the first page?

I just got mine and i am seriously impressed with the quality. Its a very nice looking exhaust for the price. Havent installed it yet so i cant comment on the sound. Its made by Top Speed Performance and all the ones that sell from $199 to $299 without or with shipping are the same exhaust distributed to various sellers. I got mine for $239 shipped.

So, it arrived and I put it in. First Impressions: It looks nice.

Fitment: I've seen worse, but it isnt horrendous. It's in place, but there is quite a bit of stress on everything forward of the cat. Not enough to make me not drive it, but enough that I will be taking it to a muffler shop to have it welded correctly. Pisses me off that I have to do that, but it is an ebay catback. I'm not surprised.

Sound: Interesting to say the least.... There is a drone at 3-3500rpm, but it isnt as loud as the drone at 1500-2000 from the rusty oem that was there before. Quiet at idle and up until 3000 even at full throttle. From 3-3500, it drones a bit, and then has a distinct sound after that. Not as raspy as before, but a little deeper. I'm not sure what I think of it yet, but its definitely not bad. I have no idea what it will sound like in a month or so though.

Overall, I think it fits me much better than a Magnaflow 14815. It isn't loud, but it does have its issues. Would I recommend it? If you have a good condition OEM muffler, no. If you have a rusted out POS that leaves a trail of rust as you carry it away and you are on a budget and don't mind a little work, sure. Then again, I think anything would have been better than what I had before.

And no, I don't currently have any way of making sound clips.

Dude, we gotta have a report...the wifey needs a new exhaust, I really don't wanna go all OE on her, but that seems to be what is gonna happen.

Let us know the loud level too, would ya?
