No cat = holy fucking loud

So I just got my cat cut off because it's innards were all busted and fucked up and worthless.

And holy fucking shit it is loud as balls. What can I put in there to quiet it down? A resonator?

Right now I'm running just a magnaflow 11365 and a crap ass resonated tip that's about to be cut off because it's too restrictive.

    m42 btw

cherry bomb. I have a 11265 and a 20" cherry bomb in there, but I do have a cat. If you don't, you could probly fit a bigger one or even a small muffler in there.

How about a good cat? We all live on the same planet.

sure a good cat would work but if he cut it put and didnt put a new one back in he is prob broke or just dgaf so in that case i would recommend a glass pack "cherry bomb" style muffler along with your other muffler to keep it down, but if it was me i would only run a single muffler no cat and res delete

I always wondered what the "carbon footprint" to make a catalytic converter would be? Mining tons of earth, transporting from point "A" to "B" (equipment & energy), crushing material, sorting refinable product, transporting to refining site, disposing of waste earth, refining material, waste products after refining, transporting to assembly plant, etc. a slightly negative effect on mileage (so more fuel is used), even worse mileage as converter becomes clogged, etc. I wonder if there is actually an environmental gain?

            Yeah, I'll look into that.

That's what I have now, just the magnaflow and nothing else. The resonator was cut out along with the cat for whatever reason.

Probably not. But who knows, maybe.

Put a resonator in where the cat used to be. That's what I did and I think it sounds pretty good.

I actually have an extra one, brand new in the box if you're interested.

if you need to stay legal, magna flow has a cat that fits. flea bay ists 69 bucks, keeps you legal, helps with noise, free flow
                  not legal in calfironia
Im looking into it, as I think my cat is getting restricted and around here muffler shop wont eliminate them
( small town , one muffler shop). or I can do it myself I guess

as far as "same planet" years back , we found that a properlly jetted and tuned car was as clean as a poorly running cat car

                  me....now
have the stock resanoator,( reinstalled) and magnaflow rear running on a 2.5 inch pipe... from resanaotr back ( same price why not).....m42
stock resanoator s are pretty straight through, adn it did get rid of some of the raspy rice sound

hehehe, I don't need to stay legal, I live in the messed up world of Alabama, with absolutely no vehicle inspection. I could replace my engine with a horse, and still have it technically road legal.

but right now I'm thinking I'll get a big glasspack to put in there. I put non-resonated tips on, but the cars not running right now so I'm not sure how it sounds, hopefully less raspy.
