Well, now that I've got my eta sitting right, the next step is to get it to sound right. Since no one seems to make a cat-back for an eta I've resolved myself to building up a 'kustom' system and am in the process of narrowing down my options.
I plan on using the stock manifolds and Y-pipe (it's an eta, lets not get silly) so the initial tube diameter is 2.25". I'm also pretty sure that my cat is focked, and since I am now emmissions exempt, I plan on pulling the cat and replacing it with a resonator or possably going with a universal magnaflow cat. From that point back I have narrowed it down to these options:
1. 2.5" stainless to Borla Turbo 40980 single in single out muffler
2. 2.25" stainless to Magnaflow 14815 single in double out muffler
I am looking for a DD'able, but deep and distinctive sound note. I don't want to set off alarms, but I want people to know its me driving up before they see me pull the car around. Does anyone here have any experience with these or similar set-ups?
I have looked and searched, but have been unable to find much in the way of eta exhaust options. Sound clips or other tips/suggestions would be most appreciated.
PS: Sorry for the wall of text...
