No Cat Set-Up Gurgling

Hi, I bought an e30 with no cat and an Ansa Sport muffler, sounds amazing.

It does sort of gurgle or pop sometimes under acceleration, I kind of feel like it the car jumps forward with the big gurgles, does this make sense?

What is going on and how do I know if it's set-up optimally?

How is the rest of the car? spark plugs, wires, injectors, valves, etc?


The reason I ask is that if its doing it under acceleration, that makes me think its something other than just not having a cat.

What exhaust setup are you running instead of the factory mid pipe?

It looks like a custom fabricated mid-pipe.

It is definately not because of the exhaust. BTW don't you just love the burble
