Searched a good while, and haven't found anything. Please point me in the right direction if I've missed something.
My muffler had a lot more rust on it than I thought and a stone separated it from the rest of the exhaust. I got a replacement catback section and the cat section fell off in my hand when I was fitting the catback today. The cat is held in place by drywall screws (PO was a champion) and now my car is even more illegal than it was.
I'm not about to spend money on a cat considering I'll be swapping the motor in the near future (S38 FTMFW) and since I have access to a machine shop it shouldn't be a big deal to make a connector.
In order to pass inspection I can't have a CEL, and so I'm wondering what people are doing with their 02 sensors in their straight pipe cars. Can I fit a resistor to the sensor? Can I simply fasten the sensor to a frame piece so it can still transmit a signal? Should I try and fit the 02 sensor in the new piece?
Thanks for any help.
