    Exhaust questions...

I have some questions for when I put my motor back in the car [stock M20]

I have an exhaust setup planned out in my head and I am just wondering what you guys think about it. I plan on running single piping for sure and was planning on running my headers, a Y in to 2.5 inch piping, 2 resonators where the stock cat/resonator would be, and then a Magnaflow style single in dual out muffler.

Is my exhaust piping going to be big enough?

    Other thoughts?

I think 2.5 will be plenty good you might want to even go 2.25 it just depends. I don't think you'd need much more then 2.5 unless you where going turbo.

For a "i" motor 2.5" is perfect (especially if mandel bent). It represents about a 5% increase in flow area, not to mention less heat and turbulence due to less surface area. 2.25" would be too small.

yes, 2.5 is slightly more flowing than stock dual piping.

              Sounds like a plan then.

What size si the stock piping on the m20b25 cars? Obviously it's dual compared to me planning to run single.

2.5" single is best setup with a good y-pipe, ebay has a bunch of cheap 2.5" resonators that will do the job and a magnaflow single in dual out should sound refined but still meaty.

That could work. I ended up putting a glasspack in my center section, no cat. Sounded really good

That exhaust has been sold though
