I recently purcahsed an 89 325i with some poorly designed exhuast
it has a Y collector to a single 2.5" in. cat to dual 2" out. to stock exhuast.
The cat is new and would hate to waste. My idea is to cut the cat and modify the out let to a single 2.5" out and 2.5 all the way out minimal bends.
Does any one see a propblem with modifying the out let on a cat and welding it back up?
